Accounting, Economic Informatics and Statistics

Established in 2012, following the reorganization of our university, the Department of Accounting, Economic Informatics and Statistics (CIES) brings together 45 teachers, grouped into three groups that participate in the university’s effort to offer high-performance education and research in three socio-economic fields. major economics: Accounting, Economic Informatics, respectively Cybernetics and statistics. Our department offers 3 bachelor’s programs, with more than 1100 students, and 7 master’s programs, with over 450 students registered. The research is carried out within two research centers and under the guidance of 24 PhD supervisors.

Our mission, as members of the academic community of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iași, is to preserve the valuable cultural and educational heritage, but especially to participate in the development of society through competitiveness and innovation in our fields of interest. We must all constantly focus on guiding young generations on the path to becoming professional and personal, in the spirit of truth and good.

The Accounting Collective

The group consists of 14 teachers, of which 7 PhD supervisors, manage the teaching and research activity in the field of Accounting, in which the degree program Accounting and Management Informatics and three master programs – Accounting, Expertise and Auditing, Accounting, diagnosis and evaluation, business accounting.

The collective of economic and mathematical informatics

The group is made up of 20 teachers, of which 11 doctoral supervisors, manage the didactic and research activity in the field of Economic Informatics, in which there is the Bachelor program in Economic Informatics, two master’s programs – Software Development and Business Information Systems (in English) and Business Information Systems.

The Collective of Statistics

The group is made up of 11 teachers, out of which 6 PhD supervisors, organize the didactic and research activity in the field of Cybernetics and economic statistics, in which we find the degree program Statistical and economic forecast and the master program Data Mining.
