Business Information Systems is a field of maximum attractiveness in all faculties of economics and business in the country. Given the diversity of the offer on the labour market, salary levels, the nature of employers (foreign firms, predominantly from the EU area – Amazon, CapGemini, Centric, Codeless, Endava, Falcon Trading, Microsoft, Mind Software, SCC, TeamNet, UBIS), the opportunities (a good IT graduate can find employment almost anywhere in Europe), the prospects of fast advancement to team and project coordination positions, the Business Information System programme registers the highest competition level among all FEAA’s BA programmes. The dynamics and quality of the IT community in Iaşi and the highly optimistic IT perspectives of Iaşi, Moldova and the Republic of Moldova are all significant arguments to join us.

Business Information Systems is acknowledged as one of the most challenging fields of specialisation at FEAA, as it combines economic and technical issues (programming, modelling, databases, networks, web applications, etc.). Most students enrolled in this programme are graduates of Mathematics-Computer Science high-school classes, but the share of those who come from Economics or Humanities tracks is not in the least negligible.
Even though it does not grant the same generous amount of time to programming and theoretical grounds as programmes from the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Automation and Computers do, our programme in Business Information Systems is geared towards the applicative side of various technologies, languages and platforms in the development of applications and information systems for organisations. Evaluation based on real-life assignments and projects and a culture based on work, honesty and teamwork are the strengths of this field of specialisation and of its graduates.
