ANNOUNCEMENT
The 5th IMTA Alumni Conference “Integrating Business Practice into Teaching” will be held at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, Romania. This edition of the conference is part of a series of events scheduled for 2010 which will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi.
The conference will consist of the following three inter-related events:
- Seminar on Effective Teaching Philosophy, Strategy and Methods, 19-20 May 2010
- International Teaching Week, 19‐20 May 2010
- IMTA Alumni Conference on Integrating Business Practice into Effective Teaching, 21‐22 May 2010
We are delighted to announce that Prof. Joe Pons, IMTA faculty member & President of AXIOMA Marketing Consultants, and Prof. Daniel‐Glaser Segura, Texas A&M University, USA confirmed their participation as keynote speakers, both of them being renown speakers and leading authorities in business research and practice.
IMTA alumni will have the opportunity to actively participate and deliver lectures on various topics (marketing, finance, strategy, leadership and change management, entrepreneurship, HR management, operation management, etc) to groups of students and participants at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi. They will also have a chance to get feedback from their peers, IMTA alumni and IMTA faculty.
The main conference day is scheduled for Friday, May 21st. It will focus on the exchange of views and experiences on how to best integrate business practices into effective teaching. A part of the event will consist of the IMTA Alumni Annual Meeting in which participants will discuss past and future activities of the association and related organizational matters.
On the evening of May 21st and the whole day of May 22nd, IMTA alumni will attend a series of attractive social and cultural events, including:
- Tour of Iaşi ‐ the “cultural capital” of Romania
- Visits to “Dracula’s” Castle and Peleş Castle
- Dinner at a traditional Romanian restaurant
