The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 6th edition of the Annual International Conference

Globalization and Higher Education in Economics and Business Administration
(GEBA 2012)

which will be held at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, in Iasi, Romania from 18th to 20th of  October 2012.

The conference aims to promote international cooperation in the field of Economics and Business Administration in Higher Education. GEBA 2012 will provide an International Forum for the presentation and discussion of recent work on different aspects of globalization.

GEBA 2012 is not only a forestage to present novel research; it also gives opportunities for new emergent ideas in economic science arising from both fundamental and cross disciplinary approaches to globalization phenomenon.

2012 is a landmark for the academic community of Iasi, which celebrates this year 50 years of economic higher education. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration will celebrate this event by organizing GEBA 2012. On this occasion, it is our pleasure to invite you to share this moment with us and present a paper at our conference.

We are delighted to announce that Professor Ali M. Kutan, Ph.D. (Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville), Professor Constantin Popescu, Ph.D. (Bucharest University of Economic Studies), Professor Alexandru Tasnadi, Ph.D. (Bucharest University of Economic Studies) and Professor Miltiade Stanciu, Ph.D. (Spiru Haret University) confirmed their participation at GEBA 2012 Conference as  keynote speaker. Being a renowned  speaker and the editor of a very important academic journal, Professor Ali M. Kutan will also deliver a workshop entitled "How to publish in Social Sciences Citation Indexed Journals".

Given this exceptional event for our academic environment, we would like announe that the Journal Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (EMFT) will publish a special issue comprising papers presented at the conference. All the papers presented at the conference are eligible to be considered for publication in this special issue. The articles in EMFT (relative influence score equal to 0.3030) are indexed/abstracted in Thomson Reuters Current Contents/Social and Behavioral Sciences; Social Sciences Citation Index and other databases. EMFT is published by the Society for the Study of Emerging Markets and M.E.Sharpe Inc. (USA). Papers will be reviewed for the above journal according to its normal review criteria. Please note that the acceptance of a paper to the conference does not guarantee its publication.

A selection of the presented papers will be submitted to Thomson Reuters for being indexed in the ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

A selection of papers presented at GEBA 2010 are already indexed in Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
